As we now reach daycare attendance capacity on almost all days, we limit the number of Meet & Greet sessions we conduct each month. Please bear this in mind when calling to schedule, as there may be a wait for an available time slot.
For your peace of mind, and without exception, ALL DOGS must attend an initial FREE half hour Meet & Greet session (by appointment only). This enables us to assess their general personality and suitability for group daycare, and allows time for you to get to know us and tour our facility. The owner MUST remain in attendance for the entire duration of the Meet & Greet session.
Subject to space being available at the time, it is possible for a dog to immediately move into regular daycare after passing a Meet & Greet session, provided that a full application form (with accompanying proof of vaccinations) has been completed, and payment for the chosen session is made before daycare commences.
To book your FREE Meet & Greet session, please call, text, email, or message us.
Proof of current RABIES, BORDETELLA, and DHPP/DA2PP must be provided prior to the Meet & Greet session. Your dog WILL interact with other dogs during that session so vaccination is essential. Proof of current vaccinations will be held on file by us. Should vaccinations expire and proof of updated vaccinations not be provided, your dog will not be permitted to attend daycare until up to date proof is provided. Proof of vaccination can be mailed, delivered in person, emailed to bestdayeversylva@gmail.com, or texted to 828 558 1885.
All dogs coming to either a Meet & Greet session or for regular daycare must be on regular flea & tick prevention. Should evidence of flea or ticks be found on your dog while it is at BEST DAY EVER, they will be kept separately from the other dogs for the remainder of the session, and will not be permitted to return for daycare until appropriate medications have been administered and all evidence of fleas and ticks is gone.
All dogs must be at least FIVE MONTHS OLD to attend daycare, and be both dog and person friendly in active group situations. Animal, food, or toy aggression will not be tolerated, and repeated displays of this behavior will result in exclusion of the dog on a permanent basis.
Male dogs over the age of 6 months MUST be neutered. In addition, for the safety of all dogs attending daycare, UNSPAYED female dogs known to be in, or going into, heat will not be permitted to attend daycare until such time as they are no longer in heat.
All dogs attending daycare must arrive in a collar (or harness) with name tag and leash. Collars and harnesses will remain on the dog all day, and leashes will be held on site to enable safe retrieval and return of the dog at pick up time. Prong style collars are not permitted, and we do not recommend collars with adornments as they are likely to be damaged during regular play in this social environment. Extendable leashes MUST be locked at regular leash length.
All owners are required to complete and sign an application form prior to or when attending the Meet & Greet session. You can download the form from the ’Application’ page. If the dog is accepted into daycare, the form will be held on file by us, and copies are always available on request. Application forms can be emailed to us at bestdayeversylva@gmail.com, mailed to the address shown below, or delivered in person during our regular business hours.
All daycare is payable in advance/at drop off. In the event that you fail to show up for your daycare session, or cancel with less than 1 full business day's notice, a full session fee will be charged/no refund will be given. Cancellations made more than 1 full business day in advance will incur no penalty - eg, a cancellation for a Wednesday session must be made BEFORE close of business on Monday. Attendance for less than the full scheduled session will not result in any form of discount or refund.
Our facility is fully licensed and insured, but we encourage dog owners to secure their own pet insurance for additional peace of mind. BEST DAY EVER accepts no liability whatsoever for injury or damage caused to persons, animals, or property while on premises.
